Review: IGPX Anime

Well starting off this review is kinda hard to put into words, you see when I first saw some of the show, it was many years ago when I saw a few episodes when they were still airing on Cartoon Network.  A few years later, I realized how cool of a show I thought it was and so i decided to go on my computer and watch the series in its entirety. So, here is my review of IGPX.

One of the three mechs belonging to Team Satomi
The series is centered around a race league called the IGPX or Immortal Grand Prix.  It is based off of mechs racing around on a track at over 400 mph and fighting to finish first.  The main protagonists are the members of Team Satomi, who are rookies in the IG1 which is kind of the equivalent of the Pro's in our sports.  The first half of the series is around their first season as a part of this league. Though they have struggles, they pull through their personal problems and their problems on the track.

The team goes on through their rookie season and goes to beat the previous champions in order to be the IG1 champions for the season.  The next episode after then skips to the next year and the beginning of the next season.

The season actually gets very good and the action is exciting and fast paced.  Though the energy kind of dies out after the first season of racing and gets kind of boring after that.  The series would have been better if they elongated the first racing season and stopped after the first one had ended.  But overall, it was good, to a point.  The other content that was brought into the series besides the racing was slightly entertaining but got old as it went on.  But the race scenes were dramatic (in a good way) and the action, thrilling.  My rating for this anime: 7.8/10. I recommend it as a relatively good show to watch but not the best I've ever seen.  Total episodes: 26.
